Track Name: Here Nor There
What did you see in those trees from atop that stone? Oh, how your eyes had grown. What did you see in those… There is one thing that you always have known. You have never had the means to control your own thoughts when they are left free to roam. So, it’s all become a little unclear. Some days you don’t even know you were there. Yet that scar was absent before, you swear. Played it back so many times in your mind. You’ve re-traced your steps each one at a time, yet you never seem quite sure what you find. Some days you seem like you’re barely aware. Fact or fiction’s neither here nor there, ‘cause to you it’s nothing but splitting hairs.
Track Name: An Admirable Hue
We are making movies. Reels roll in our brain. Viewing and directing; they are one and the same. Planing and finessing, framing out the scenes, to appease an
audience that has never been seen. I’ve been meaning to show you; meaning to show you what I made of myself. We are making movies if for nothing else, just to prove some value in our lives to ourselves. Trying to find an angle, or a different view to portray our lead role in
an admirable hue.
Track Name: Getaway
Well you long to get away, and we all will get away… one day. If you’re lost inside that day, let your mind go there today… but don’t stay. Your desire grows by the day to escape your present ways… but you stay. All your things are packed away, the arrangements have been made… so you wait. Though your loved ones left to stay, don’t you take the easy way.
Track Name: Keith Sweat
You were so mislead by that line that you read, left you close to dead, pinned inside of your head. You are so in debt to that timeline you set. Your palms flow with sweat, your head brims with regret. Come on back home and move on. Ten years is ten years too long.
Track Name: North Rim
Look at the river from the north rim, weave in and out of our sight. Remember this is alright, many never get to see it in their lives. How do we learn to come to terms with parts of us too old to die? Funny how too old to die is a saying that can rarely be applied to anything. Look at the river from the shoreline, battering all that’s below. Remember, this goes to show we are powerless to fight against it’s flow. Because the rocks that line the stream bed once were enormous in size, it should come as no surprise that we were never meant to see the river dry, in any case.
Track Name: The Dark
I sat in the dark. I looked at the screen. I was not alone. I was not alone. I’m still in the dark. I firmly believe. I am not alone. I am not alone.
Track Name: Fervor
You’d sleep through silence. You’d sleep through war. You’d sleep through everything if you had the choice. I see your reasons. I really do. Life rarely measures up to what dreams can do. You sleep with fervor.
You sleep so sure that no grass is greener than what grows in your world. But I wish you’d come back. I really do. The things that you’ll never know will always know you. Maybe you’ve got this down to a T. ‘Cause is not reality just what you perceive?
Track Name: Cord & Stake
They will reel you in, and seal you in, ‘till you are frail and thin. Then they will weed you out, and bleed you out like you are upside down. You should run while you can… Wear down the treads so you don’t leave a sign. If one twig is snapped you can bet they will find you dreaming; wildly scheming down on the shore. Fine, you can stay
for another hour, but no more.
Track Name: Brilliant Colors
When you close your eyes do you see black,
or brilliant colors violently attack? When you look at them can you relate, or just as soon start locking up the gate? When you paint that room, do you feel blue covering up the walls that sheltered you? And when you take that road do you think back to the day when everything went black? Really, you’ll never see anything besides the way you imagine the things that surround you to be. When you cross that line do you feel fear, or are you left unfazed and thinking clear? And when you see your chance will you hold back, or give in to your instincts and attack?
Track Name: Down
Look down the road. Twists, turns and holes. And I’ve heard you pave your own way, but sometimes that seems foolish to say. Look down the road. Stop, merge and go. And now you know you can’t turn around, or salvage every part that broke down. Look down the road. Teeth, skin and bones are nothing more then dots on a page, turning slightly yellow with age. Look down the road.
